Recipe

Ingredients:

• 4 C semolina flour
• 1 C vegetable oil
• ½ C of Sugar
• 1 3/4 C warm water
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 C raisins (soaked in water for 10 minutes then drained)
• 1/2 C ground almonds
• 3 tbsp sesame seeds
• 1 ½ C honey
• Handful of whole almonds for decorating

Directions:

Mix semolina, sugar, oil, baking powder, water, and raisins in a large bowl and mix well. Pour in a well greased 13×9 pan. Precut the cake in 2×2 square shapes and place almonds in the center of each square. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and bake in a preheated oven at 350 for 40-50 minutes or until golden brown. Take cake out of the oven and pour warm honey over the cake. Cut and serve. Yields approximately 20 pieces.
